  9. Launch is the popular utility which lets you start programs directly from the
  10. Windows desktop without having to go through Program Manager.  Your favorite
  11. programs are only one mouse click away!
  12.  
  13. Installation is a snap- just copy Launch to your hard disk. Launch will
  14. create a default menu the first time it runs. You can install Launch in your
  15. WIN.INI or SYSTEM.INI so it will load automatically. The online help contains
  16. more detailed instructions.

  18. Once Launch is installed just click the left mouse button once over the empty
  19. desktop. Your Launch menu will pop up automatically.

  21. Please feel free to distribute Launch to others. Just be careful and remember
  22. to include all three files (LAUNCH.EXE, LAUNCH.TXT and LAUNCH.INV) together.

  24. Launch is ShareWare. Please support my efforts and the efforts of all
  25. ShareWare authors. The cost is only $29.95 (4,000 yen in Japan). A form is
  26. available to print in the file LAUNCH.INV. When you mail your registration
  27. you will receive the latest 1.X version of Launch and a registration number
  28. (which will disable the reminder message which appears when Launch is
  29. started). Your registration will be valid for any minor upgrades. Support is
  30. available for registered users via CompuServe, MCI Mail or regular mail.

  33. Upgrade information
  34. -------------------
  35. If you are upgrading from a version of Launch earlier than 1.4 then you must
  36. delete (or rename) your old LAUNCH.INI to let Launch build a new INI file for
  37. you.  The reason is the file format changed from 1.3 to 1.4 and a
  38. misformatted INI file will only confuse Launch.

  42. --------------
  43. There are many enhancements in this upgrade so please read the online help
  44. even if you are familiar with earlier versions of Launch. You will get the
  45. most out of Launch this way.

  47. Added hotkey support! You can now pop up the Launch menu with a hotkey.

  49. Added support for launching programs as maximized or minimized (iconized).
  50. You can even specify the exact screen location.

  52. Added [Startup] for better control over loading programs.

  54. Shortened (ExitWindows), (TileWindows), (CascadeWindows) and (ArrangeIcons)
  55. to (ExitWin), (Tile), (Cascade) and (Arrange).

  60. Launch 1.8 adds a lot of new features but uses less RAM than 1.7!

  65. Launch 1.7 adds the much-requested support of having the LAUNCH.INI file in
  66. the same directory as LAUNCH.EXE.  Previously you had to put this file in the
  67. Windows directory.
